<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably and properly move a cursor, on a GUI or the like, for example. <P>SOLUTION: This jog ball device has: a jog ball 2 rotatable so as to move the cursor 9; a measurement means 11 measuring a rotation amount by which the jog ball is rotated by a plurality of directions; an accumulation means 12 accumulating the measured rotation amount by the plurality of directions; and a specification means 13 specifying a movement direction to which the cursor has to be moved based on the accumulated rotation amount when the accumulated rotation amount exceeds a prescribed threshold value about one of the plurality of directions.
