PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liner motor type booster pump and a die cushion device provided therewith, capable of exhibiting sufficient upward pressing force. SOLUTION: This linear motor type booster pump includes: a body container 1; a movable body 2 movable along the inner wall of the body container 1; a cylinder 3 connected to communicate with the inside of the body container 1; a stator 7 arranged in the cylinder 3; a piston head 4 sliding along the inner wall of the cylinder 3; a piston rod 5 attached to the piston head 4; and a mover 8 connected to the piston rod 5. Hydraulic fluid L is stored in common in the body container 1 and the cylinder 4 and also sealed with the movable body 2 and the piston head 4. The cross-sectional area of the cylinder 3 is smaller than the are of the movable body, and a liner motor is composed of the stator 7 and mover 8. The linear motor is driven, the piston head 4 is slid in the cylinder 3 through the piston rod 5, and the hydraulic fluid L stored in the cylinder 3 is led to flow into/out from the body container 1, thereby moving the movable body 2.
