Xenon vibration at current and subsequent moments in time is predicted. Assuming the axial direction output deviation of the output distribution of a nuclear reactor is AOp, the axial direction output deviation of the output distribution based on the xenon distribution is AOx, and the axial direction output deviation of the output distribution based on the iodine distribution is AOi, a parameter DAOpx(=AOp-AOx) and a parameter DAOix(=AOi-AOx) are described by a relation of triangular function using the angular frequency of xenon vibration. Phases corresponding to the initial values of the parameters DAOpx and DAOix are then determined (step S101). The parameters DAOpx and DAOix represented using the phases thus determined and the coefficients of the relation determined from these phases are employed, respectively, as the X coordinate and the Y coordinate. The orbit at current and subsequent moments in time is then predicted using the orbit thus obtained (step S102), and the timing for suppressing xenon vibration is predicted (step S103). |
