The invention relates to a plate for mounting on a truck fender, the plate having a flat panel surface for mounting a conspicuity reflector, such as a retro-reflective tape. The plate is formed with a rearwardly extending flang e that provides a concave surface to receive a fender-mounting post, and a band clamp encircle s the post and the flange, passing through an opening in the flange, to fasten the plate to the post, the flat panel surface of the plate oriented vertically to optimize th e reflective area of the conspicuity reflector and comply with DOT regulations.
