PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method capable of forming an image with a high quality on a printing medium and excellent in reliability of the image quality by a simple process and without performing a complicate control. SOLUTION: The image forming method includes an electrostatically charged toner sticking process in which an electrostatically charged toner 23 is uniformly stuck on a face on the printing medium side among both faces of a toner carrying body 20, and an ion irradiating process in which a face on the opposite side of the printing medium among the both faces of the toner carrying body 20 is irradiated with the ion with the same polarity as that of the electrostatically charged toner based on the image information, and the electrostatically charged toner on the toner carrying body is moved on a recording face of the printing medium arranged oppositely to the ion irradiating head by placing the toner carrying body between them to form the image.
