PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which prevents the damage to a terminal part of a sensor during the manufacturing processes, the packaging processes, and the transportation. SOLUTION: An output terminal part 115 of a sensor member 110 is disposed on an end part on the side of a front edge 180 of a urine pad 100. The end part on the side of the front edge 180 of the urine pad 100 is formed only of a front sheet part 105 and a back sheet part 106, and the front sheet part 105 and the back sheet 106 are not joined mutually and are disposed to be separate. When the urine pad 100 is not used, the output terminal part 115 is covered with the front sheet part 106 and the back sheet part 106. When the urine pad is used, the front sheet part 105 and the back sheet part 106 are separated in the thickness direction, and the output terminal part 115 of the sensor member 110 is exposed.
