PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent paper wrinkles in an on-demand fixing device. SOLUTION: A heating device has: a heating element which is fixed; a fixing film that is endless heat-resistant thin film which rotates and travels while bringing its inner surface into press-contact with the heating element; a pressure roller which forms a nip part with the heating element while holding the fixing film in between and conveys the image supporting surface of a transfer medium that supports a developed image and is conveyed between the outer surface of the fixing film and the pressure roller in the nip part integrally with the fixing film; and a film supporting member which supports the heating element inside and supports all over the area in the longitudinal direction of the inner surface of the fixing film. The fixing film supporting part of the film supporting member in the heating device includes ribs for reducing the sliding surface of the fixing film and the film supporting member, and the rib in the center part comes into contact with the film less than the rib at the end in a longitudinal direction on an upstream side at least in a paper passing direction of the film supporting member.
