<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an available bandwidth estimation system capable of estimating available bandwidth of a path at high speed and with a low load. <P>SOLUTION: A path information collecting means 11 uses a probe packet to collect path information, such as the number of available paths, kinds of communication media and bandwidth of a link and stores the path information in a path information storing part 21. A test stream generating means 13 transmits a test stream to a receiving node. A test stream measuring means 14 receives the test stream returned from the receiving node, and measures quality information, such as a round trip time of the test stream and a packet loss rate. An available bandwidth estimating means 12 constructs an NW analysis model with reference to the path information storing part 21, applies the quality information measured by the test stream measuring means 14 to the constructed NW analysis model, and estimates the available bandwidth of the path. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
