<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data expanding device and a data expanding method for improving an expansion speed by using an internal memory as effectively as possible. <P>SOLUTION: The data expanding device 10 has an LZ77 expanding part 3 for extending data by referring to a dictionary when using a previous expansion result as the dictionary and outputing the same data as the previous data, a PNG inverted filter 4 for outputting image data by performing an arithmetic operation with the expansion result of the LZ77 expanding part 3 and the previously outputted image data, and a shared memory 2 having an internal dictionary area for storing previous expansion results to which the LZ77 expanding part 3 refers and a line data area for storing previously outputted image data which the PNG inverted filter 4 uses. In the shared memory 2, the capacities of the internal dictionary area and the line data area are set on the basis of an analysis result obtained by analyzing input data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
