PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the service life of an adsorbent, by improving a purge characteristic of the adsorbent, in a generator set having the adsorbent for preventing diffusion of evaporated fuel to the atmosphere, by adsorbing the evaporated fuel from the inside of a fuel tank. SOLUTION: This generator set 1 has: an engine 9 driving a generator 8; a muffler cover 48 covering a muffler 46 for exhaust gas 15 of the engine 9 from the outside of this muffler 46; a fuel tank 50 storing fuel supplied to the engine 9; and a canister 53 storing an adsorbent 52 for the evaporate fuel 51 generated from the inside of the fuel tank 50. A communicating hole 54 is formed for communicating the inside of the canister 53 with the atmospheric side, and this canister 53 is communicated with an intake system member 14 of the engine 9. The communicating hole 54 of the canister 53 is opened in the vicinity of the muffler 46 and in the vicinity of an inner surface on the muffler 46 side in the muffler cover 48.
