PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical device capable of displaying a higher quality image including without causing display irregularity or the like by eliminating the influence of capacity coupling occurring in a pixel electrode, inter-data line or the like. SOLUTION: In the electro-optical device, data lines (6a), scanning lines (3a) intersecting with the data lines (6a), pixel electrodes (9a) and TFTs (30) arranged so as to correspond to intersecting areas between the data lines (6a) and the scanning lines (3a) are provided on a substrate so as to constitute portions of laminated structure, and moreover, storage capacitors (70) each of which is electrically connected to the TFT and the pixel electrode and shield layers (400D) each of which is arranged between the data line and the pixel electrode are provided on the substrate so as to constitute portions of the laminated structure.
