PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an electric power steering device capable of detecting abnormality attributable to the external noise of parameters stored in a non-volatile memory, and an abnormality of the parameters themselves. SOLUTION: An EEPROM 104 stores parameters 104a to regulate a plurality of continuous characteristic functions which are used in controlling an electric power steering device. A CPU 101 diagnoses abnormalities of the plurality of characteristic functions to be regulated by the parameters 104a stored in the EEPROM 104 in parameter diagnosis processing, and diagnoses the abnormalities of the parameters 104a.
