PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle capable of efficiently cooling equipment to be cooled mounted on a vehicle by drain water at the required timing utilizing the drain water generated in an evaporator unit installed on a ceiling portion of the vehicle. SOLUTION: In the air conditioner 10 for the vehicle, the evaporator unit 20 provided with at least an evaporator 22, a drain pan 23 and an evaporator fan 24 is installed on the ceiling portion of the vehicle 1. A drain hose 25 connected to the drain pan 23 is arranged so as to feed drain water to the equipment 32, 34, 35, 51 to be cooled requiring cooling, i.e., the equipment mounted on the vehicle 1, and feeding of drain water from the evaporator unit 22 is adjusted by rotation/control of the evaporator fan 24.
