<p>4-Phenylthio-3-hydroxy-butyramidines. Compds. (I), their salts and medicaments contg. them are useful as beta-adrenergic blocking agents. (where R is H, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, amino, OH, nitro, cycloalkyl or alkylene dioxy, n is 1-5, when n >1 the R's may be different) (I) are prepd. from the 3-phenylthio-2,3-epoxy propane by conversion to the 1-chloro deriv. with CHl then conversion to the 1-cyano deriv. with KCN, to the imino ether with EtOH and finally treatment with NH3.</p> |
