<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of analyzing a nitric acid in mixed acid liquid containing at least the nitric acid and a phosphoric acid and further containing molybdenum and/or tungsten and aluminum as components, improved to accurately quantify the nitric acid using a conventional ultraviolet absorptiometry. <P>SOLUTION: The method of analyzing the nitric acid in a mixed acid liquid comprises adding alkali into the mixed acid liquid to adjust pH to 7 or more as a pretreatment of a sample in quantifying the nitric acid by the ultraviolet absorptiometry. Complexes produced in the mixed acid liquid are thereby dissociated to take out a peak of an absorption spectrum of the nitric acid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
