<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an icon display method which displays an icon as small as possible when the icon for advertisement is to be displayed on a display of a portable terminal, and which can easily notify a user of contents of the icon. <P>SOLUTION: For displaying, on the display 24 of the portable terminal 2, a home page and various information displayed after being connected to the Internet, they are displayed while streaming contents of the icon 241 displayed on the display.
