PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding machine of simple structure not requiring adjustment and improved in folding accuracy so as to obtain products of high quality. SOLUTION: The folding machine 15 comprises a lower conveying belt 65 forming a lower conveying path S for guiding a section 59 for conveyance with a lower conveying surface 103, an upper conveying belt 75 forming an upper conveying path U for guiding the section 59 for conveyance with an upper conveying surface 105, a chopper table 85 for guiding the lower conveying belt 65, a stopper 87 for aligning a downstream end position of the section 59, and a chopper blade 83 for forming a chopper section 60. A coefficient of static friction against the surface of the lower conveying surface 103 and the upper conveying surface formed from an iron group raw material is more than 0.2 and less than 0.3, and nip rollers 73 for increasing pinching force between the lower conveying surface 103 and the upper conveying surface 105 relative to the section 59 are provided in the lower conveying route S and the upper conveying route U on the upstream side relative to a position separated by at least the length L of the section 59 from the stopper 87.
