<p>A method for pulse reconstruction is disclosed, in particular for TeraHertz imaging, in which a sample signal is numerically processed together with a reference signal which has been separately recorded, to remove the undesired effects of source after-runners. The result is to show what the sample signal would be if the sample had received a single, simple pulse of a form that can be chosen appropriately. The reference signal is produced in such a way that it includes all the distorting effects, but without the influence of the sample.</p> |
