<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state image pickup device for achieving a proper camera function by shielding unwanted light to a light-transmissive cover part. <P>SOLUTION: A camera module 100a is provided with a lens unit 1a provided with a lens 11 and a lens holder 12 holding the lens 11 inside, and an imaging unit 2a provided with a solid-state image pickup element 24 and the light-transmissive cover part 26 arranged so as to face the light receiving surface of the solid-state image pickup element 24 and have space S between the solid-state image pickup element 24 and itself.
