INSPECTION METHOD OF FLUID DYNAMIC PRESSURE BEARING, AND SPINDLE MOTOR EQUIPPED WITH SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inspect highly accurately the magnitude of deflection synchronized with rotation of a rotor part of a fluid dynamic pressure bearing.

SOLUTION: Gas is fed to generated a gas flow from a lower side opening of a bearing hole of a sleeve 6 toward the outside of an upper wall part 12a of a rotor hub 12 via a radial aperture 50 and an upper side opening of the bearing hole, to thereby float the rotor part 10. With the rotor part 10 floated, the magnitude of deflection synchronized with rotation of the rotor part 10 is measured by using a displacement gage 40.
