PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance-free fire alarm without using an insect repellent, repelling a plurality of kinds of insects. SOLUTION: This fire alarm has: a fire decision part 40 detecting smoke or heat by fire, and outputting a fire detection signal; an oscillation part 44 outputting an insect-proof sound signal of a frequency band disliked by the insects or an alarm sound signal of a frequency band used as fire alarm sound; an insect-repellent selection switch 48 selecting use of an insect-repellent function; a sound control part 42 outputting the insect-proof sound signal from the oscillation part 44 when selecting the insect-repellent function by the insect-repellent selection switch 48, and outputting the alarm sound signal from the oscillation part 44 when detecting the fire in the fire decision part 40; and a sound output part 56 amplifying the alarm sound signal or the insect-repellent sound signal output from the oscillation part 44, and outputting the sound.
