PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine capable of preventing the loss of a commodity sales opportunity. SOLUTION: The vending machine includes a commodity sales mechanism having a commodity discharge port for discharging a commodity, a commodity take-out port for taking out a commodity, a commodity carrying passage formed between the commodity discharge port and the commodity take-out port, a first sensor for detecting that a commodity has passed through the commodity carrying passage, a commodity take-out door for opening and closing the commodity take-out port, a second sensor detecting that the commodity take-out door opens and closes, and a control part for controlling selling operations of the commodity sales mechanism according to the detection results of the first and second sensors when the commodity sales starts.
