Optical signals of a fiber-optic cable are evaluated, where the fiber-optic cable is provided inside a coiled heat exchanger. A temperature measurement in the coiled heat exchanger is carried out by the evaluation of optical signals produced by Raman scattering, Brillouin scattering or scattering at Bragg grating.
