CLAD FILTER MATERIAL, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF CLAD FILTER

Disclosed are: a clad filter material, which is applicable to any field in which a conventional porous material has been used, can control the permeation rate of a gas or a liquid, and can be reduced in size; and a method for producing the clad filter material. Specifically disclosed are: a plate-like clad filter material which can penetrate a gas or a liquid from one face side toward the other face side, and which comprises a composite multi-layer material produced by cladding one surface or both surfaces of a felt-like fibrous layer with a porous metal layer; and a method for producing a clad filter material, which comprises the steps of cladding a felt-like fibrous layer with a porous metal layer and thermally compressing the resulting product to produce the clad filter material.
