<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a snoop request, and to restrain an increase of generated traffic and an access latency, to the minimum. <P>SOLUTION: A node controller transmits the snoop request to a processor cache with a desired line, by a snoop filter, when the snoop request arrives from other node. The snoop filter has a partition bit map indicating constitution of a partition, and executes multicast in the partition, referring to the partition bit map, when the snoop filter is not address-hit.
