<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drug for disinfection of a catheter or antibacterial coating of the catheter. <P>SOLUTION: When generally formulated to disinfect a catheter, the antibacterial substance comprises water and approximately 10-200 mg tetrasodium EDTA per 1 mL water. When formulated to treat an infected catheter, the above antibacterial substance comprises water and approximately 5-80 mg tetrasodium EDTA per 1 mL water.
