<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To search for resource DDL files storing mistranslated character strings. <P>SOLUTION: An application program 2 is run, and displayed character strings are checked for mistranslations on a display means 5. A character string extraction means 6 extracts the currently displayed character string, and a DDL file search means 10 searches a searchable database file in a storage means 8 by using the character string as a keyword to extract all the names of resource DDL files 3 containing the mistranslated character string. A DDL file checking means 9 analyzes the source code of the step in execution.
