PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tonneau cover device capable of preventing breakage of a structural part for holding a plate member in a substantially horizontal condition, and holding the plate member in a substantially horizontal condition and easily handling it. SOLUTION: The tonneau cover device comprises a sheet part 101, a storage part 105 for winding and storing the sheet part 101, a board part 102 fixed to an edge of the drawing-out direction of the sheet part 101, a holding part 104b which holds the board part 102 in a substantially horizontal condition when the sheet part 101 is stored in the storage part 105 and is formed of an elastic material, a recess 104c formed in the storage part 105 side of the holding part 104b, and a projecting part 105b to be assembled to the recess 104c on the holding part 104b side of the storage part 105.
