PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a liquid of concentration according to user's preference. SOLUTION: This liquid applicator is so formed that the outer circumferential face of a brush bristle material, which is formed by radially projecting bristle materials retained and disposed on a helical retention face between the pair of wire materials in line by a core material formed by twisting a pair of wire materials, is formed with not less than 3 but not more than 10 application liquid retention grooves extending longitudinally, so that, when a user operates this applicator in the longitudinal direction relative to a hair subjected to application or the helical direction along the helical retention face, the user can apply the thick application liquid, and when operates it laterally, adjust the amount of the application liquid applied to the hair subjected to application so as to apply the application liquid of the concentration according to the preference of the user.
