METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR VULCANIZING RUBBER SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the ephemeralization of a steel band long and to improve the quality of a vulcanized rubber sheet. SOLUTION: A rubber sheet vulcanizing apparatus has the steel bands wound endlessly between a driving wheel and a driven wheel and a pair of upper and lower heating/conveying apparatuses each having a tabular heater set on the inner circumference surface side of the steel band, vulcanizes a lengthy unvulcanized rubber sheet by heating with the heater while the unvulcanized rubber sheet is held in the thickness direction between the steel bands of the heating/conveying apparatuses and pressurized and equipped with a main cylinder 19 which has a main cylinder chamber 18 partitioned into two chambers 18a and 18b by a main piston 17 inside and makes the heating/conveying apparatuses approach each other by pressurizing one 18a of the two chambers 18a and 18b and a subordinate cylinder 21 connected with the other 18b of the two chambers 18a and 18b through a first connection line 20.
