PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin molded article capable of maintaining the elasticity of a mounting part and suppressing deterioration of appearance in the resin molded article having a design surface and the mounting part protruded on the opposite surface to the design surface. SOLUTION: A back door garnish 15 is equipped with a base material 16 having the design surface 17, and a mounting part 19 projectingly provided on a non-design surface 18 of the base material 16 for mounting the base material 16 to a vehicle. The back door garnish 15 is obtained by applying an electroplating to the base material after electroless plating is applied. In the back door garnish 15, a mounting recessed part 20 extending along the projecting direction of the mounting part 19 is provided on the tip end surface of the mounting part 19, and an annular groove 21 having a V shape in cross section along the base end peripheral edge of the mounting part 19 is provided on the non-design surface 18 of the base material 16.
