PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extremely superior epoch-making machine tool capable of further freely performing various processing by setting the processing direction over a wide range by being freely replaceable in this way, by realizing an automatically freely replaceable universal attachment for freely indexing 360 degrees, by freeing indexing in a position flush with these side surfaces or projected a little to the side more than these surfaces, without interfering with a tool post and a ram arranged on the tool post. SOLUTION: This machine tool is provided for performing milling work in the various direction, by transmitting and rotating a tool 7, by controlling indexing over a 360-degree wide range in the automatically freely replaceable universal attachment by rotatably arranging a freely rotatable tool installing part 10 for installing a rotary tool 7 in a tool attachment 9 so as to be capable of indexing by 360 degrees.
