PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying apparatus for a sheet-like object capable of enhancing a drying function and avoiding hardening of ink or varnish on a blanket, and further reducing the cost by shortening the entire length of a machine. SOLUTION: In a printing press equipped with a UV lamp (40) for drying UV ink printed on a sheet (W) transported by a transfer cylinder (14) and a delivery cylinder (15), the UV lamp (40) is accommodated within each of the transfer cylinder (14) and the delivery cylinder (15), and is supported to be non-pivotable with respect to frames (41a, 41b) and immovable in the cylinder axial direction when the printing press is in operation.
