Disclosed is a method for producing a plastic lens, which comprises the steps of: reacting at least one compound having an epithio group, sulfur and a portion of a polythiol compound with one another to produce a sulfur-containing prepolymer; and adding the remainder of the polythiol compound to the sulfur-containing prepolymer to polymerize the polythiol compound and the sulfur-containing prepolymer. The method enables to produce a high-quality plastic lens having excellent weather resistance, a high refractive index, a high Abbe's number and good transparency.
