SAFETY ELEMENT FOR BATTERY AND BATTERY WITH THE SAME

A safety element for a battery including a material having a metal-insulator transition property is provided to improve the safety of battery by lowering the charge state of a battery without damage of a battery due to high temperature by being equipped with a material having wide range of resistance variation which drastically flows current at a constant temperature or more with no current leak in a normal battery temperature. A safety element for a battery is equipped with a material having a metal-insulator transition property, of which resistance becomes drastically low at a constant temperature or more. The resistance critical temperature of the material having the metal-insulator transition property is 50 deg.C-150 deg.C.
