A time management system of a DVR device using a GPS is provided to maintain an accurate time in a DVR system, thereby drastically increasing reliability of the DVR system. One or more gateway processing units(120) wirelessly transmit and receive a signal with a GPS antenna(130). One or more gateway processing units store periodic time data while transmitting/receiving the signal. One or more digital video recorder apparatuses(150) are connected to the gateway processing unit through wired and wireless network. One or more digital video recorder apparatuses take time data to correct or store current time data.
