PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body frame and an assembling method for a motorcycle which facilitates assembling work of auxiliary machine components and frame dress up components, and enhances assembling productivity. SOLUTION: In the vehicle body frame for the motorcycle, a front frame 18 is extended from a head pipe 15 rearwardly downwardly, and a rear frame 21 is extended from the front frame 18 rearwardly upwardly. An engine hanger 23 for suspending an engine 12 is provided in the front frame 18. The engine hanger 23 also serves as a pivot plate supporting swing arms 26 supporting a rear wheel 25, and is detachably fastened to the front frame 18 at fastening points 86, 86 extended in the vehicle width direction.
