PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large capacity filtration cartridge having a large filtration surface area and a small hold-up volume capable of minimizing sample loss. SOLUTION: The filtration cartridge is comprised of one or a stack of filtration units sealed to each other at their inner periphery and their outer periphery and to end caps thereby eliminating the need for a housing surrounding the stack.
