PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator capable of showing a seal function, although it costs low. SOLUTION: A driving shaft 117 is supported slidably by an annular support member 118 fitted to the inner periphery of a screw shaft chamber 101b in a housing body 101A, and the support member 118 is cut at one portion 118a in a circumferential direction. Thus, even if both the outside and inside diametersϕA,ϕB respectively of the support member 118 are not set to be values that are especially determined by the elastic characteristics of the material, the support member 118 can be disposed along the inside diameter of the screw shaft chamber 101b having relatively large stiffness, thus the position of the center of the driving shaft 117 is determined as being at the center of the inside diameter by only the thickness (t) of the difference between the outside and inside diametersϕA,ϕB, respectively in the free state of the support member 118 by precisely forming the screw shaft chamber 101b. Hence, when the support member 118 is formed, it is sufficient to manage only the thickness (t), which is managed far easier than the constraints, namely, the outside and inside diametersϕA,ϕB and the concentricity of both the outside and inside diametersϕA,ϕB, respectively and is the difference between the outside and inside diametersϕA,ϕB, respectively, and thereby the low-cost support member 118 is manufactured.
