An automobile engine (1) has a pulley wheel (3) with a belt (4) drive to a further pulley wheel (5a - 5c) for e.g. an alternator. The pulley wheels incorporate a de-coupling mechanism that reduces vibration co-interference. The de-coupling mechanism is lamellar clutch (10) linking the shaft (2) and pulley wheel (3). The clutch incorporates a clutch fluid (11).
