PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device allowing different ways of use, when mounted on a vehicle and use when carried along, by a simple configuration. SOLUTION: This navigation device 1 performs map matching display processing for displaying a current position of the navigation device 1 in a display part 13 by letting it correspond to the information on a map if a sensor part 16 detects that the user does not carry the navigation device 1 with him/her and performs display processing for displaying the information on the map corresponding to the current position of the navigation device 1 in the display part 13 if the sensor part 16 detects that the user carries the navigation device 1 with him/her.
