PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tripod stepladder for improving stability in stacking to prevent load from being collapsed, and improving loading performance and loading amount. SOLUTION: In this tripod stepladder, a top plate 3 is provided on the upper end part, a front ladder-like leg body 1 opened to be substantially truncated chevron shape and one rear rod-like leg body 2 are connected to each other to open and close. The proximal end part of the top plate 3 is pivoted on the upper end part of the ladder-like leg body 1, the distal tip part of the top plate 3 is pivoted on the upper end part of the rod-like leg body 2, and a locking means for locking the top plate 3 in the horizontal attitude with the ladder-like leg body 1 and the rod-like leg body 2 opened at a predetermined astride attitude is interposed between the ladder-like leg body 1 and the top plate 3.
