<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire which is excellent in slidability, and has high safety. <P>SOLUTION: The guide wire 1 includes: a wire body 2 constituted of a bendable or flexible core wire 3; a swelling part forming layer 4 which differs in color from the core wire 3; and a coating layer 5 having such transparency as to make the swelling part forming layer 4 visible. A swelling part forming region 40 being the region with the swelling part forming layer 4 formed therein is set in the guide wire 1. The swelling part forming layer 4 is partially arranged in the outer circumference of the core wire 3 in the swelling part forming region 40. The coating layer 5 coats the swelling part forming layer 4 and the core wire 3 at least in the swelling part forming region 40. The swelling part forming layer 4 is constituted of a material including a resin and pigment. The coating layer 5 is constituted of a material including the resin. A part with the swelling part forming layer 4 arranged therein is swelled with respect to a part without the swelling part forming layer 4 arranged therein, on the outer surface of the coating layer 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
