<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of suppressing the deterioration of image quality even in a mega-pixel projector. <P>SOLUTION: The projector 10 is equipped with: an illumination means 100; a first image forming means 1200 emitting first image light; a second image forming means 2200; a polarized light compounding prism 300 compounding the first image light with second image light; a projection optical system 400 projecting the image light compounded by the polarized light compounding prism 300; a projection position adjusting means for optically adjusting the projection positions of liquid crystal panels 1300R, 1300G, 1300B, 2300R, 2300G and 2300B on a screen SCR; and a pixel value generation means for generating pixel values in the respective pixels possessed by the liquid crystal panels 1300R, 1300G, 1300B, 2300R, 2300G and 2300B whose projection positions are adjusted by the projection position adjusting means based on the projection positions of light from the pixels. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
