PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the cleanliness of a steel slab at the starting time of pouring molten steel into a tundish without lowering the yield of the steel slab by using the inexpensive and easily repairable tundish. SOLUTION: The tundish 1, in which the range of≥80 vol% in the upper part in the vertical direction is divided into a plurality of zones, is used, a molten steel flowing-out hole 3 installed in the tundish is closed, then oxygen concentration is measured while individually supplying inert gas in respective zone divided into the plurality of zones, and the pouring of the molten steel into the tundish from the ladle, is started after becoming≤1 vol% oxygen concentration in the zone except the pouring position of the molten steel from a ladle into the respective zones. Thereafter, when the molten steel of≥30 mass% of the reference storage molten steel in the tundish is stored in the tundish, it is start to pour the molten steel into a mold from the tundish.
