<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip easy to be positioned when fitting it and improved in fitting workability and positioning accuracy, and to provide a fitting method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The weather strip 5 is structured of a main body part 11 to be fitted to a door 4 and a fitting auxiliary part 12 to be cut after concluding fitting of the main body part 11. As a fitting order of the weather strip 5, first, the fitting auxiliary part 12 is fitted in a flange 28 of the door 4, and the weather strip 5 is temporarily fitted. Continuously, a release liner 21 of a pressure sensitive adhesive double coated tape 20 attached to the back surface of the main body part 11 is peeled by pulling it, while pressing the main body part 11, and the main body part 11 is adhered to the fitting part 29 for fixation. After fitting the main body part 11, the fitting auxiliary part 12 is cut from the main body part 11 by tearing connection parts 23 and 24 of the main body part 11 and the fitting auxiliary part 12 and while pulling the fitting auxiliary part 12 to remove it from the flange 28.
