PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent temperature rise in a seal part of an exhaust side end surface of a cylinder head, in particular, between an exhaust pipe fastening part and the exhaust pipe, without enlargement of a radiator or deterioration in manufacturing property of the cylinder head, in a cylinder head for an engine having structure in which exhaust ports of each cylinder are integrated and connected to the exhaust pipe. SOLUTION: In the cylinder head 1 for an engine of the structure in which the exhaust ports extended from each cylinder are integrated and connected to the exhaust pipe, a groove 8 with predetermined depth is formed around an exhaust port outlet opened to the exhaust side end surface 1b to form a heat insulation layer, and the seal part 9 between the exhaust pipe fastening part 10 and the exhaust pipe is disposed to the outside of the heat insulation layer.
