PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat sliding apparatus for a vehicle capable of discharging foreign matters entered to inside of a lower rail without inhibiting movement of an upper rail with respect to the lower rail. SOLUTION: The seat sliding apparatus for the vehicle is provided with the lower rail 3 fixed to a vehicle floor and having a U-shaped cross section; the upper rail 4 fixed to a seat and supported to enable relative displacement with respect to the lower rail 3; and a block body 31 fixed to a rear end part of the lower rail 3 and including an inclined face 34 raised from a bottom face 12a of the lower rail 3 toward the rear end of the lower rail 3.
