<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an easy setting of frequency characteristics in a short time in an acoustic system where loud speakers are installed individually for plural bands. <P>SOLUTION: By control of a PC, frequency characteristics set currently to high, medium and low frequency channels are displayed on a block B1 of a monitor screen, and frequency characteristics of the respective speakers measured in advance are displayed on a block B2. The characteristic of the entire system, which is obtained by summing the currently set characteristics of the three channels, is displayed on the block B2. An operator refers to the characteristics of the speakers measured in advance and displayed on the block B2 and moves operating knobs Cg, Ccut and Ccp of the block B1 closer to the characteristics. Moving the knobs changes the setting of a filter of the channels and the setting of gain adjustment means to change the characteristic. Each time the characteristic is changed, the characteristics set to the respective channels are summed and the result is displayed on the block B2.
