MEMBRANE ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY FOR FUEL CELL, AND FUEL CELL USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane electrode assembly for a fuel cell enhancing adhesive bonding between a catalyst electrode layer and a solid electrolyte membrane, and enhancing durability when used in the fuel cell.

SOLUTION: The membrane electrode assembly for the fuel cell has the catalyst electrode layer including an electrolyte material for the catalyst electrode layer comprising an organic silicon polymer having proton conductivity and a conductive material carried with a catalyst, and the solid electrolyte membrane interposed between the catalyst electrode layers and including the electrolyte material for the solid electrolyte membrane, and the solid electrolyte membrane contains an Si-based compound.
